“Oil change required” on display

Hi I recently had my first oil change on my Stelvio about 100 miles ago and had this message pop up “ oil change required ” today on speedometer display. I checked the infotainment Service menu and the oil service interval was reseted. The dealership did the oil change at 8700 miles before the 10000 while doing the recalls. Is there a fix without going back to the dealership. Thank you

Saw this posted this on another website for the Giulia. Worth a try..

"Dealer forgot to reset the maintenance light. They said all you had to do was put the car in "ON" position, push the gas petal down five times in 10 seconds, turn the car off, then actually start the vehicle.

Steps:
Turn off the car, open door, close door
Push the Start button to turn on the car's electronics without starting the engine. Don't put your foot on the brake!
Pump gas pedal five times all the way to the floor board, where it feels like you are pushing in a button
Hit the start button again to shut off the car
Start the car"

Its time for this forum to add a Maintemance/howto/uber thread for this kind of info! On all my forums these things keep getting looked for for years down the road! Very handy to have in a readily available location and usually the moderators are the prime movers to this zone.

It has popped up 5000 mi PRIOR to the first service interval...and the oil gauge is perfectly fine.

UGH...looks like recalls, infotainment AND now this. Got to make an appointment over the holidays.

Don’t forget to throw a handful of sea salt over your left shoulder too. Vital step!

Has anyone tried this on a 2018 Stelvio and got it to work?
