body control module recall

just received a safety recall letter today. googled it and apparently 22k vehicles (giulias and stelvios) are affected. requires software update. basically the software overestimates the fuel in the tank.

I had it done, takes seconds...no big deal. Also had recall on cruise control, they updated software.

I had called my local dealership to schedule an appointment, but no one answered me back, I left about 2-3 messages with 2-3 different Service Advisors. I just picked up this car about 2 and a half weeks ago and now we get this recall bulletin. I realize the service center is shared with Jeep, Chrysler, etc, but if I called at around 10-11am shouldn't someone have at least left me a message by end of day?

it is a rare situation that one might encounter if certain specific situations occur:

V84 Recall

Thanks for the heads up and link to detailed description... Of course, living in Florida, I'd have to hunt for somewhere with a 10% incline where I could leave the vehicle for more than 30 mins.... LOL

Scheduled the fix for next week just in case.

So I headed in personally to make an appointment. SA said it should take less than 1 hour tops for the software update and I should be on my way.
