+40hp, +2 cylinders (comparing base models) = slower 0 -60 and $30k more expensive?

&%#!! better have a nicer interior and massaging seats...…

New Porsches make me miss old Porsches. I know literally every time Porsche has made a change people say that, but I never said it before. It isn't that it is an SUV, it is that I can see the Audi in there...a true Porsche would be faster with those specs. (but the interior would be ehh compared to the amazing button and chrome magnificence of new Porsches.)

I don't get it....what is the difference between the Cayenne Coupe and the Macan.

Knowing Porsche, the base model with options is probably the same price as a Quad....doesn't make sense to me.

Understand what your saying. No other Porsche that i have owned and i have owned eleven compares to my 1978 930 basically a race car with a plate.

That is not a coupe. It is a sedan that is misnamed. German jackasses. Just cuz they say it 100 times does not change the REAL definition.

Went to the Porsche dealer yesterday to enquire about the Cayenne Coupe. Was told nothing will arrive till this Fall.
It's a Cayenne with a lower roof.
Configured my preferences, and it comes to @ 90K MSRP. Salesman said Porsche does not give discounts, leases didn't seem to be very competitive either.
The lease on my Stelvio ends next March.

Porsche sales are only qualified by the level of lubrication (incentive) you receive before they pluke you with their numbers...Later. Homey don't do dat.

That dealer is owned by a third party, not Porsche. That salesman is not employed by Porsche North America or any other subsidiary of VAG....no salesman is unless you are in a Tesla store. Most states have laws that make it very illegal for the salesperson to work for the manufacturer.

So when a salesperson tells you "Porsche does not give discounts." (or whatever snooty brand he is trying to sell) that is like meeting a person who addresses you and themselves in the Queen's English. "We are not amused." and so on....

Basically, you just got notice that the sales person and the dealer you are dealing with is self important and not entirely honest (maybe not even with themselves...which is worse. The most untrustworthy person is the person who lies to themselves). Trying to reason with a delusional person never works out well, and any car sales person/manager or anyone else at any non-tesla dealership who talks like they work directly for a car company is delusional...go somewhere else where they don't say stupid things quite so quickly or seriously and are a little more honest with themselves and you as to their place in the world. (they sell cars...not dreams, not lifestyles, not image...cars.)

To paraphrase the words of the great philosophers Roger Troutman and Zapp. "People put on those airs and act real cool. But you got to realize that your acting like fools." Word up.
