can't say what the dealer filled it with since it was full when I picked it up, but in the ~650 miles since then I've filled up twice with premium 93 octane, and going to have to fill up again in the next ~75 miles.

I do the majority of driving around town, but I've only been getting about 14mpg! I can barely even get 21mpg average driving down the highway with cruise control on.

Strange - I've been doing a fair amount of city driving, and stepping on the gas pedal a bit (a bunch), and my 2018 Ti Sport is showing avg mpg of 21.1 and speed of 27, so a lot of Christmas type driving, and short trips to take my wife to work as she was waiting for her new Porsche to be set up...

So I expected something like what I'm getting with the way I've been driving... When out on the road, the Stelvio cruising MPG (second center screen) was showing about the same mileage as I was getting in my Mazda 3GT.

So something seems quite wrong about what you are seeing...

Dont Panic! The truth is out there.

Agreed: worst I got was 22.7 heading into gusts and currently in bitter cold. Best 31 mpg 93 octane.

The tank takes only 16.9 gallons. If you put 15 in, it only had 1.9 left. Modern cars should not be taken much closer to empty to prevent the pump gulping air in the tank. Next time, since you are getting 24 mpg, try driving another 24 miles to use up another gallon before filling it. This way you can find out if the 1/8 mark lights on time and exactly how much is left at that point.

I've now got 2200 miles on the car (took a road trip to Vermont for Christmas and the Poconos for New Years), and highway I've averaging around 22ish. Around town I am still seeing ~17, but better than the ~14 I was getting before the fuel pump issue. I swear my foot isn't THAT heavy!

Last night I filled up at just under "1/2" on the gauge, and it took 14.8 gallons....

yup, now you're understanding why I said something was wrong with the gauge!

I need to get it back to the dealer for this, but so far I've never been able to get the gauge below 1/4 tank, and when it reads 1/4, it takes over 15 gallons to fill up.

I don't expect superb accuracy from gauges that read in "bars". I just try to learn them. The gauge had just turned from "3/8" to "1/4" at the last fill up. It took 13.745 USG. So, 3.1 USG (19%) left.

that's not that far from what I'm seeing. around town I start thinking about when it'll be easy or convenient to fill up at one bar above 1/4, and try to fill up before it drops to the bar below 1/4, pretty much all my fill-ups have been 15.x gallons in those cases.
