Hello, everyone, new member here. Got my Stelvio two weeks ago, followed the break-in recommendations in the manual, and at just over 500 miles got “Service Engine” light and warning. Auto stop/start disabled (no complaints here though, DNA is out, as well as remote start (a real bitch with over 100 degrees outside). Pulled the codes - evaporative emissions leak (small and gross). Have an appointment at the dealership tomorrow, hopefully they’ll be able to take care of it. Wondering if anyone else experienced anything similar and what was the cause/outcome.
Thank you
That should be a vacuum leak, probably around the intake stuff.
Just for fun. I'de open the hood, remove the stupid plastic engine cover and look for a loose vacuum hose. If you see one, look for what it would plug into. If you see something obvious...attach it. Might not even need to remove the cover.
Bet the code disapears.
Might be more complex..always good to go to the dealer and be checked out professionally...but won't hurt to look.
Well, just got the car back. Took them much less time than anticipated. Apparently the culprit was a cracked sealing surface on the ESIM switch (somewhere behind right rear fender - they did a smoke test). So this one looks like poor Chinese plastic molding rather than a problem specific to a Stelvio. New switch in, and I'm back in the saddle again. Feels much better than the loaner.
That was my thought. Didn't see anything obvious, neither did the mechanic at the dealers. The codes are still there, so they will be looking into it this week. On the minus side - they don't really have an ETA for even the diagnosis, not talking about the fix. On the plus side - they gave me a Stelvio TI loaner, so I'm saving miles on my lease, and have a chance to drive it like I stole it
Thank you. Jasmine. Everything went great. Took them a bit to get to the car with the service department closed on the weekend, but they offered me a Stelvio loaner immediately, and had my car fixed the day the got to it.
