sorry to hear.

i got a little nick a month ago, but thankfully not too deep to take it in for repairs.
no experience yet with repairs and spares as the car is only 3 months old. so hoping here in norway its not a long waiting time.

a bit surprised they have not yet called me in for the tailgate issue.
hope that is not a sign of things to come.

good luck

Hello slm,

Is your dealer having a hard time obtaining the part? Send us a direct message if we can be of any assistance with getting the replacement to your dealer.

My windshield (infrared) got hit this past weekend after a fun trip to the mountains of New Mexico. It's at the dealer for the recall service and they're checking on windshield replacement as well. Also, noticed the underbody cover was flapping (right side by tailpipe) and they'll fix that as well.

Veering off topic, the ride was absolutely fantastic through the mountains. The handling was responsive and fun. We did experience the warning lights that others have; service forward collision warning , right turn signal out, brake light out. It reset after turning the car off and on.

Will report back when I get news on the windshield replacement.

I had this happen to me. Safelite doesn't carry one for the Stelvio yet. I needed to order it directly from the dealer and submit to my insurance company for reimbursement. Total was something like $1300.

The windshield arrived in a week.

Hi got a bullseye chip on the front windshield and took it to Safelite for repair. They tried filling it in and it looked horrible so they had to replace it. Safelite donít carry replacement so they had to order an OEM from dealer it took a week to come in. Total was 1400.00 insurance claim. Personally I think the front windshield of the Stelvio is more fragile than your average one. Too many owners on this forum and Guilia are having the same issue with the front windshield. I think the quality should be looked into.

Had my rear glass blown out courtesy of an ill marked garage early last summer. Called Alfa and had the glass in 24hrs. Insurance was fine with it being a new model and the aftermarket pipeline was not yet filled up. I think you will find windshield have to adhere to standards across the board. You have glass coverage right, so shouldn't matter to you if it costs 500 or 5000. I strongly doubt Safelite products are better than stock btw.

No doubt my insurance covered it and Iím absolutely happy that they didnít have a replacement and got an OEM with the Alfa Romeo emblem on the bottom passenger side of window. Iím just saying it seems like thereís to many and thereís an article in car and driver testing the Guilia and they had the same front windshield chip or crack. Iím just questioning if itís defect thatís all. I love my Stelvio hopefully it doesnít raise the insurance.

It never ceases to amaze me how stupid many automobile owners really are. When someone buys the first year of production of ANYTHING, parts delays are normal ESPECIALLY FOR SMALL VOLUME NICHE VEHICLES. I can promise you with 99% certainty that that bubbled sidewall was the result of a curb, speedbump, rock in the road, underinflation , sabotage, x girlfriend, mother in law, etc.........maybe during transport but doubtful. People just lie about everything. Windshields are just a bad luck item on our congested roads. I can go 5 years, then lose 2-3 with 6 months.... when you see the softball sized rock bouncing diagonally towrds you from god knows where and hit your windshield like a gunshot, be thankful it did its job and be glad it didn't bounce into front grill and rip a hole through a radiator, oil cooler, power steering cooler radar cruise unit........We don't give cars credit for their REAL durability.
