Stelvio Diesel - Project QV Edizione

Hello.

Iīm a Stelvio diesel 2.2 210hp owner, and since the lack of "QV" packs on AR configurator when you buy your car (like BMW or other car brands do so that your car look a little bit more sportier and agressive and pop out of the rest models), and of course...the cost of the QV is much more expensive here in Portugal. 58€K vs 115K€ on base models without opcional. And the petrol cost here in Portugal.. versus Diesel.. when you rode almost more than 100km/day on daily bases.

My Configuration is almost 65K€ + 9K€ on original QV parts. (Steering wheel, Exterior trims, Wheelset, Bumpers, hood, Grilles, etc..)

I will leave here some pictures... and work in progress.. at some stages that I will try to get pictures to show.

Now... the Car at dealership arrival.

Thank you.

Flavio

Congratulations..Looks very nice..

I am surprised that yours does not have the foglamps..

I thought the Euro-Spec ones came with foglamps on the diesel models?

Congratulation!!!!... yourself.. NYCSTELVIO.
I see that I really got your full attention.

I intentionaly didnīt buy the foglamps... all the guys at the dealerships.. didnīt understand...
The answer is... that the Stelvio QV doesnīt have them... and since I made a direct factory order already with the QV project in mind... I donīt order them.. so that when I fit the front bumper of the QV model.. Donīt need to hide or ask for eliminate the fog lamps on the ECU. I didnīt want to have front panel errors.

Thatīs why. and the only reason.

The BMW M6 also donīt have the front fog lights. (When I fitted on my E64 the M6 front bumper, it was a real S*** to eliminate them.. only coding solve the problem. Hopefully I have a friend that is a BMW coding specialist. And he donīt do Alfa.. ehehehehehehe

Looking forward to seeing your progress!! Let us know how easy/hard all the processes are and the steps. I'm keen to do some QV things myself.

Well... now.. I can tell you apart of the money spending and all the research about "how" compatible is the parts between Stelvios...

Maybe in the end.. I can tell you more acurrately about the critic parts that must be bought, The parts that should buy.. but not critical... with some adaptation you can fit with the original "regular" Stelvios parts... and finally The parts that are not necessary.

Iīm talking ... brackets, interior mounting parts, screws, ... etc...
in the bumper interior for correct fitment... side skirts and fender wheel arch.. per example.

The radiator center grille.. I bought the QV... because the mesh is diferent... Donīt want to have the stain in the white fabric.

I order the black mirror caps.. in the accessories.. but if it was now.. didnīt buy it... I rather "wraped" them in black vinyl.. but the excitement.. tooked me.
Since I have the window sunroof.. and it is "black"... , glossy black roof rails, glossy black windows contour trims...I want to have some related "black" trims... like mirror caps.. maybe.. door handles... and rear badges.

ehehehehhhe

All the boxes are on me.. and not all there... ehehehehhe

I confess that I thought that the "sport" interior trim was darker...

In the configurator.. the image is almost black...

Regards...

It would definitely be really good to hear you experience as you go on with things. I like the idea of putting on the rear bumper, however it's difficult because of the exhaust (s). What is your plan for the rear bumper?

Hi JD123,

For the rear bumper its "simple"...
I will keep the original exhaust.. since the "tips" are fixed to the bumper.. only the exhaust will remain.
And than.. I will go to an Exhaust expert shop and ask to weld "Y" for the two "Slash exhaust tips".

Specs:
9,5 cm outer diameter
2,5 cm space between tips
Vertical aligned with the exhaust contour trim. (see pictures)
