We fanboys are here to support the brand. A majority of us "owners" are sublimely happy with our purchases. For the price point the interior is buttoned down very well. No, it is not my RRS HSE nor is it my GTS, but it is of a similar quality to my Evora S. Us course that vehicle is the extreme about a driving experience no german can match.

There are many other brands out there, and I would fully expect to be flamed if I went to an Audi or BMW site spouting off about my Stelvio. I let my experience guide me and just plain don't like or trust Germany. I tried the nation's product and was left with a bad taste. My 2011 X5d had 2 MAJOR issues that they refused to recall for almost 6 yrs. I got rid of it shortly before they finally looked past their egos. An exploding propeller shaft can total a 5 yr old vehicle. When urea tanks are essentially guaranteed to fail at 75-150000 miles and you have to take apart half the motor to repair, forget that. Oh yea, the CIC also failed a few months prior to the unloading. Vehicle only had low 80's mileage. My 2008 X5 3.0Si had recurrent EGR and sunroof issues besides the known Vanos clogging etc. Buy More Warranty strikes again. Not just me, there is a reason they have fallen from grace.

There are no issues with the Stelvio remotely on that level of severity.

So back to the fanboy stuff. Invariably, we try to guide the person thru the process. If they have not even read the manual, not much sympathy. Many early issues have been solved by those of us that searched for causes and answers. Media Center issues have all but ended for me since dealer staff and I played with options.

As far as your epidemiological approach to statistics, you should know full well you can make numbers say anything you want them to say.....I truly hope Audi has gotten past the failed motors in some of their prior S cars. I know at least 3 individuals that had to replace blown motors.....on their penny. Maybe your stats say they are the only 3 blown motors in the country??? Porsche and BMW both have an ugly history of catastrophic motor failures, let's not get started on the IMS issues in MANY Porsche motors.

Peace, hope your luck has changed, but many of us are already in a happy place with our Italian beauties! Please come back sometime soon as there will be some sweet releases forthcoming.

Its a drivers car, the interior and infotainment is what it is. Sure it can be improved, but when you put the pedal to the metal the smile over my face makes up for the shortcomings. Most of these seem to be very reliable. Will it be reliable at 100K miles who knows. I am almost halfway though a 24 month lease and I am very happy.

Agree with @ViscontiVerde 164L* . Yes, later posts from @Pgiulekas have been positive. The Stelvio is not perfect, but close! (at least for the vast majority of owners)

Rear wiper

Does anyone know how to change it? There is no clip does the whole arm have to be replaced?

I find it surprising that the Giulia outsells the Stelvio given the SUV craze happening.

doesn't surprise me at all - Alfa is known for sports cars, even though their 4 doors have always been very sporting.
a "typical" suv customer is not likely to even think of an Alfa, and if they drive a stelvio might find it not to be what they want, because (thankfully) it is a very sporting vehicle. and there are plenty of sporting vehicle customers who detest ALL suvs.

Chicken egg. More dealers in convenient locations... my Alfa dealer in Atlanta is on the other side of I-285 traffic. There is a Ferrari/Maserati dealer close by, though. Why not add a dealership there?

My neighbor bought an Audi Q5 in 2018 right after I bought my Stelvio, the car is beautiful and loaded. This summer when it was really hot the A/C broke. The dealer had it for a few days they replaced some parts and it seemed to be ok. A few weeks later when it was really hot it broke again. The dealer had it for a week to replace some parts, they have to remove the windshield in order to do it apparently, he was very unhappy. Buying the car is more risky because if there are problems with it it will impact the resale value or trade in. He is basically stuck with it now.
