Best Protection and Window Tint Film

Hello everyone, glad to be part of this community!

I am due to receive my new Stelvio in few days and I am interested in installing paint protection and window tint films.

For PPF, I have limited my choices based on availability of good choices in my country to Xpel Xtreme and 3M Scotchguard Pro Series. For Window tint, I am between Geoshield and 3M Crystalline.

Can anyone here recommend either brand on each of the 2 categories? Is there a need to put a windo tint film or it is not really necessary and better save the money?

3M also have a screen protector film installed from outside to protect against breakage? Is this really effective?

Too many questions sorry for that. Feel free to drop me an answer where you have experience with it.

Thanks and have a lovely day.

Hi Afhiraky,

Welcome..

I'm based in the UK and got the dealer to Gardx my vehicle in and out as part of the deal, they also left me with a nice kit full of cleaning products as part of the service.. So far this appears to be working very well, I use a maguires specialist polish as well but what I have noticed is the beading when wet is much better that what I've seen on previous cars I've had without it.. Not sure if they have treated the windscreen as well because the rain doesn't seem to affect the vision as bad, it looks to run off similar to using that anti rain / clear screen type application you can buy.. I'm based in the UK so not sure where you are or whether Gardx is available.. good luck with the new motor when it arrives..

Thanks Wictod for the quick reply! I am based in Egypt so Gardx is not available here unfortunately. I only have the mentioned options available with known brands.. the other available are cheap chinese imitations that I won't be considering.

I haven't used either, but I'm leaning towards 3M. There are some videos on YouTube that test the three major vendors (3M, Suntek, and Xpel) and the results for 3M are impressive.

Thanks Sapienzaf for sharing your view. I was leaning towards 3M too so good to see some support to that direction.

)) I can imagine how you felt seeing the traffic here. More likely crazy than brave but then said I would miss much if I did not give it a go and drive an alfa at some point in my life 🙂
