Have a silly question. When I use radar cruise or the car applies brakes as a part of collision avoidance option do brake lights turn on?
What about when the car slows down because traffic in front slows down quickly?

They come on with the Hill Decent Control, so probably would be my guess.

Doubt the law differentiates between a computer or person as far the brake lights needing to come on when brakes are applied.

I've wondered this also. Glad to hear they come on so the person behind you is more aware.

Considering the whole braking system is electronic brake-by-wire, there is not an ounce of difference to the brake lights if the braking is triggered by touching the pedal or a proximity sensor.

@Scalewoodman , is there anyway you can add a date stamp to any/all posts. I think it will be beneficial to know how long ago a thread has been posted. Just an idea.
thanks.
