As with any trade situation, how well you do really depends on the trade difference. You need to be tuned into the wholesale market value of your trade and get some competitive bids from KBB, Carvana, etc. In my case, the dealer was fair but not overly aggressive on my trade allowance.
Exactly. The dealership matched my trade in allowance from Vroom. No other dealer would come within 3K of that so I'm happy. Also got $5,520 off MSRP and saved more on sales tax with the higher trade in value. Happy with the deal.
