No way I could've accessed the screws properly with the steering wheel on:

Much easier with the wheel off:

Location of the SGW (had to install the SGW bypass to activate the paddles using MultiECUScan):

Closer up from the same perspective:

After installation and everything working:

Short video of me clicking through 1st and 2nd gears with the paddles after activating and running the proxi-alignment.

From where did you get the paddles from? I want to do this myself, but those used paddles are way to expensive.
Nice job.
On my previous car (Mazda CX5) I have installed paddles, and on that car they never had paddles from the factory, not even on the top trim.
I have used parts from Mazda 3, (from Japan) and also installed some nice aluminum Kenstyle paddles.

Thanks.

Yeah... The Lusso package.

Got extremely lucky that our nearest dealer had a Verde Visconti configured exactly how we wanted it with exception of the missing paddles, and having a hitch that we don't care for (I'm going to remove it).

Snapped it up knowing I could add the paddles myself.

What I didn't know is that Verde Visconti is discontinued after 2021, so had this one not been available we couldn't have ordered on this spec.

Is the D/C of Verde Visconti just for USA or universal? Just wondering since I took delivery of my 2021 Ti Sport in Verde Visconti a couple months ago and now thinking the re-sale has just jumped if that colour is no longer going to be available in Canada.....

Man, that is an incredible color combo. Nice! I almost bought a brown Lusso w crema interior but opted for an alfa white w red interior ti sport. Honestly, this suv looks incredible in any color. I’m interested in the hitch if willing to sell.

Let me see how involved it is to remove in its entirety.

I removed the receiver (visible) part already. That part was simple. But of course there's more to it than just the receiver 😁

I may have to get my dealer involved.

Let me get back to you...

How you guys are removing the SGW module harnesses? I'm trying, I have removed even the knee airbag, but I still can't see/feel it.
I can't remove the plastic cover around the knee airbag. How the hood release comes off, just has to be popped out with a trim removal tool?
How about near the center console?
I'm thinking about removing even the radio, but I can't get to the left screw, because of the above mentioned trim.
Any help would be appreciated, I'm in the middle of the job.
