Anyone knows why the Alfa Romeo badges on the steering wheel and on the key fobs are black and white?

I'm disappointed to say the least!

I/we personally love the black/white logotypes and restrained use of color so as not to be too 'gimmicky'- you might refer to it as 'understated' design. The lack of in-you-face over-the-top use of Technicolor is actually a design language in itself and makes a much more elegant statement IMO.

For those needing to announce their presence, you have the classic Lexus big mouth bass grill and lots of ridiculous patronizing over-the-top designs out there. (Murata anyone?) There IS a demographic for that!

I've ordered the same ones for the exterior badging. Love them.

It's easy and cheap to change them to the coloured ones if you prefer.
Glad to hear that!

Where do you order the colorful badge?

How exactly do you change them?

Many thanks!

Remember, on Lexus, that big L stands for LOSER!! hehe

Someone should design a BIG hook to attach to corner of that grill, The brand had come a long way but that is the most profound LOVE?HATE look in the industry. When they did that spindle thing, it took the top spot cleanly away from Audi!

A friend of mine that just leased a new Lexus couldn't get over the simple design of the interior on my Ti Sport. He complained the Lexus over done. In fact everyone who has gotten in to the car has said the same.

Ok, I get it that some people prefer the black and silver design. But how about the engine start/stop button? Don’t you prefer a red one?
In addition to blacking out the stelvio and Q in the Q4 have thought about doing same thing to the nose and rear end alfa badges, they're textured so you'd see the logo, a nice satin black perhaps?

I'm totally cool with the main colored logo....I just like the subdued black and silver logos they have in other areas...too much of a good thing may not always be a good thing....and I think if you're going to go with a "blacked out" badge theme, why not go to black and silver to replace the main badge on the hatch....

Definitely the red one looks better.

Interesting purity of brand.v ability discussion. It may well be that 75 yrs ago, the ability to reproduce the colors with any stability over time did not exist. I just bought an Alfa banner at LRP yesterday and its the color that make it all so beautiful and probably THE standout in the entire auto industry beyond its wild stepchild -->Ferrari. No other monikor of a brand pops like Alfa Romeo in it colored iteration IMHO. Black and white are era appropriate colors IMHO.

Curiosity-- what does the emblem look like a 6C series car??
Clearly...on today's cars, the badge should be colored....but in my 1991 164 S, the Alfa logo is embossed into the steering wheel with no badge (much in the way it is stamped on the headrests of the Stelvio)....So when I saw the subdued Black and Silver badge on the steering wheel, it brought me full circle to my 1964 Giulia Sprint GT !!
