Hello Mackdhagen,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Compared to the OEM Brace Bar this CFP Brace attaches to the front struts and relocates to being directly tied to the front suspension rather than the OEM location.

The Design also allows one side of the bar to be undone from its mounts, and lifted up and out of the way when performing maintenance.

We haven't had a side by side comparison of the brace bar with the OEM bar for weight at this time.

I took one and put it on our shipping scale and it came in at 3.44Lbs. The bulk being the brackets at the end.

I believe we have a Stelvio coming in to have this bar installed in the next day or so, we'll try and get the weight of the OEM bar at that time.

In the mean time, please don't hesitate to give one of our Team Members a call at 512-982-9393 TX or 562-981-6800 CA and they will be happy to help.

Thanks again.

The stock Stelvio bar on my 2021 weighed 2.2 lbs. 1 kg Bathroom scale after I zeroed it. Yeah it's not an official calibrated device It's all aluminum and it looks and feels more like a cosmetic piece than a structural piece with its single 10mm stud and nut holding it on. I have one of these new bars coming tomorrow and I will let you know if I feel a difference. I am looking for better rigidity. If I wanted to reduce weight, I would get a lighter car to start and reduce my food intake.

I have stock tires and stock suspension, don't do track days, just a spirited public road driver. The back end does get loose much quicker than a Giulia which I had before.

Thank you very much for your support Danduh!

In regards to the back end... we should have some things added to the site soon to help with that! We have spent the last few days test fitting a bunch of subframe braces for the Stelvio with great success. Just need to make the product listings.
This is just what I was looking for. More details when you've tested it. Thanks!

Received the brace today, didn't have time to install it. It looks good, its shiny, the pictures had all kinds of weird reflections so it looks better in person. It's longer that the distance between the shock towers so the brackets face outwards to connect to it. Torque specs looks like 26 NM for the 13mm nuts to the strut to boody nuts. 5 NM for the 10mm nuts that hold that power connection on the passenger side. The bolts that hold the brace to the brackets are 14mm 12.9 but torque spec of 125 NM seems high. Have to do some more checking. Might get time to install it tomorrow.

The brace is easy to install. Looks much better than the stock brace. Probably this weekend I'll find some empty corners to try it.

I like that it moves the brace back from covering the oil filler cap.

Looking good Danduh!

Thank you very much for your support. We look forward to hearing your results from getting to test in some corners (safely of course) this weekend.(y)
This is very subjective, I don't have lap times to prove I am faster. I have this corner which has a couple concrete expansion joints,(Pa roads). When you come around at 55 mph the Stelvio drifts a bit. Surprising at first but controllable and no where close to the limits. Same temperatures, I come through that turn this morning at 75, it doesn't loose traction at all. You feel and hear the bump, but total grip. IF I didn't feel a difference at a slower speed, I would just say maybe the tires were a bit warmer. The suspension seems less harsh and more sophisticated at slower speeds. No one else in my family will probably feel any difference. I am very focused when I drive. I thought a stiffer brace is supposed to make it twitchier, but I was confused when the ride got smoother, yet it would hold a bit better in the corners. This brace was definitely worth it to me, even if I didn't drive at the I need a lawyer speed. It brings it closer the the Giulia , but without the bone jarring slow speed commute. I can't predict what you will feel. It has me wondering about the brace they make for under the car.

now with the stiffer brace, you need the piggy back controller so you can put a bit more power down.

Regretfully I scanned them too fast to catch that, but now with warmth swelling in my heart, I'm comforted in that my wishes for him have already come true.

Thanks for the data! How's that Maxpower pro working for you?
The Max Power Pro is great. Used this one on my 18 Giulia, then on my 20 Stelvio and now it's on my 21 Stelvio. Never dynoed but you can feel a seat of the pants power increase after the car learns it. I am so used to it, the stock cars feel slow. I install it the day I bring home the car. I hear more of a turbo whine, but it could just be me.

@Danduh3 Hope all is well! Seems like you have owned the Front Strut Brace for a couple of months. How do you like it so far? Have you been able to notice a major difference?
I have autocross my Stelvio a couple of times (to the surprised of others, they are amazed by the capabilities of an SUV/heavy car) and wondering if it's worth getting it.
