I have the Madness Monza Cat back on mine. LOVE IT

I started with stock, then tried a Remus CAT back and found it just slightly louder so went for the Madness Monza

On cold start it is loud, crackles nice for about 2 min till the engine warms up and lower idle comes on. When driving normal it is not that loud. Full throttle yeah it comes alive.

No drone at all on the highway. I have driven in KM/H all areas from 60 and a steady 150 to good stints all the way up to 190 and zero ear hum.

The monza is pretty aggressive and the Lusso does have a resonator so its softer.

i am very happy with it. It fits into the stock tips and I had those done in Black Powder coat to finish taking off all the chrome and being black no more issues with the black residue on the chrome exhaust tips.

It fit perfect and dealership had it on in less than a hour.

Remus just slightly louder. That interests me. How much lighter/smaller is the muffler with the Remus? I assume you sold it already. If you tell me its 10lbs lighter, I'm really interested,

That is a good question. I honestly don't know the weight though.

The Remus looked very high quality and perfect fit, I had the dealer do both installs and both fit flawless and took them under a hour to put on.

The Remus was ordered in by the Alfa Dealership and they took it back. I assume it got re sold onto another unit, The parts manager told me he had a few interested in the system and mine was the first one to get a different exhaust so I was the trial.

The Remus had a very nice sound on start up and was just a hint louder on driving. Even full throttle.

The Madness Monza, that is a pretty loud aggressive sound. On Cold start its pretty loud so not good if you live in a condo or parkade. The Lusso they sell and recommend first does have a Resonator so its alot calmer.

Banff, when you had a Remus cat back system, it was 70mm and there would was definitely an improvement in flow. You got a Monza system now which is same diameter diameter as stock so you gave up the better flow of the 70mm systems with the inferior 2.5 inch Madness parts FYI. This is a reason their dynos do not impress nor do they advertise power gains. You got the sound you want but....On a tuned vehicle , that increase in flow is worth upwards of 10 HP with exhaust alone as I discovered on a bunch of other exhaust sites that make stuff for us. The key is cat back. Any diameter increase axle back is a complete waste performance wise. Only benefit is sound. If spending $$$ you want both. The full CAI and full exhaust on an EC tune is worth 14-18HP so I figure with my V1 instead of 353HP, I can safely say 345HP if I do a hi flow exhaust ie equivalent to their phase 1.

Visconte you are right. The Remus quality of materials is superior. Very nice but I was after the sound as well.

I am for sure interested in the tune to get some extra HP. I will follow your posts and updates.

Zvezdah1 I think the computer can figure out the exhaust with no issues. I had no issue with the Remus or now the Madness and the dealership had both systems installed in less than a hour shop time.

Well, just threw a lowball offer out on a Remus catback and it got accepted so the mods will be completed sooner rather than later. I may very well save the exhaust install till spring to avoid at least one season of winter corrosion on it. The sound clips I found on Utube etc confirmed what I was hoping for. Crisper sounds at all stages , a bit more flavor at WOT, some weight loss......and a price that I chuckle at.

Did the heat from the exhaust melt the powder coat? I wanna do it to mine but was told there was no point cuz it will come off

I have had the factory tips powder coated black for about a year and a half now. Zero issues with it peeling or anything. It is on there and not a concern at all. I had them done in a gloss black to match the trim and in the wash I use some wheel cleaner and brush on them and they come out like new all the time. Way way easier than the chrome tips that always got black residue on them.

Do you know how they come off or you left that to the guys that powder coated them

they took them off and sent them to the powder coat and re installed. They also did my rims when I bought it to get them black as well

I am lucky, the dealership in Calgary, AB is amazing and goes above and beyond every time
