My car has 52k miles. It is running great. I was ticking off the list of preventative maintenance items from all the advice I got from here.
My wastegate rod had a wiggle when I touched it. So today while I had the cover off:
I changed my coolant bleeder screw. (I thought there were two. I could only find one) if anyone needs the small one it's yours.
I replaced my spark plugs. Old ones looked ok. But changed them anyway.
I put a camera down the hole

and the pistons were clean. there's a frickin QR code on the piston.

I replaced the wastegate rod. Solid no wiggle.
All done, no codes!
However, it is more responsive, feels like more power. Even in A mode. Does whe wastegate rod make that much a difference?

The black in the upper part of the pic is a shadow.

It's more responsive because the plugs are firing better no? Good to replace the Wastegate arm, apparently it does affect throttle response so... :)

Yes, replacing the wastegate rod does make a difference in terms of turbo responsiveness since the tolerances are back to factory spec. It was especially noticeable for me in reducing the turbo lag that was starting to happen when accelerating from a low speed. I replaced mine around 65K. There was a rattle when I wiggled it at the wastegate side. I went with the arm from Alfissimo.

Also, the 2nd coolant bleeder screw is only on the early cars. It's right next to the reservoir tank for the turbo coolant. There were so many issues with the plastic cracking at that screw that Alfa just did away with it and went to a solid coolant line.

A solid coolant line that cracks. I saw a video of a guy replacing the screw and cracked the coolant line.
It on my next item of preventative maintenance. I wanted to drop $1,200 on an exhaust. Looks like it's coming to to a set of tires. going with Michelin crossclimate2 for comfort H speed instead of Y.
I did an OCC
blow off valve
headlights
SGW bypass
start/stop recerse
Carbon fiber upper spoiler,
PPE on all door jams. Used a clear carbon fiber pattern and it blends in great with the moonlight gray paint.
Cabin filter and old one was gross!
Upgraded to a 2025 digital dash cluster.
Tinted windshield and front windows. With legal tint for my state.
The battery is good.
K&N oiled ar filter,
GoPedal Plus w/remote.

What did I miss

Digi cluster works, you need to add the right steering wheel buttons that go with it Or you’ll lose some features. I’m ashamed but I was surfing on AliExpress and saw a 304 SS wastegate rod for only a few bucks. I was prep to spend $80 if it went out. But it wasn’t out yet. I thought what the hell. I got lucky.i put the old one and some tools in my truck in case. 500 mil and so far so good
