It is time for the next EBC Brakes Pad Giveaway! One set of pads (front or rear) will be gifted to one randomly selected forum member from our entire range, just by participating in the below thread!

In past giveaways we have discussed our first ride, garage and storage spaces, famous people we have met or would like to have met and weird and wonderful vehicles amongst other topics.

With respect to electric vehicles, the sound and mechanics of an internal combustion engine is a masterpiece, and as pressures increase from governments for the end of the ICE, this month we would like to pose the question; Hypothetically the law states you can keep only one ICE car for the future, what car do you want to hold onto forever, and why?
Would you choose something economic like a Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost twin turbo, or go for power with the 5.2L V10 Lamborghini Huracan or a 6.2L Hemi SRT Hellcat Supercharged V8? Maybe you want the usability of a Ford F-150, or the classic finesse of a 1980 Corvette Stingray?

The lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced within a few days after the closing date of 1st December 2022 and details will be posted on this forum shortly after.

Please be aware that this thread may appear in more than one section on the forum and one winner will be selected from the whole forum, not a winner per thread.
Pad choice will be based on availability and where a chosen pad is unavailable, an alternative will be offered.

If you are not the lucky winner, EBC Brakes are pleased to be able to offer a 10% discount off their braking products to all members of the forum community using code FORUM10USER
This discount code can be redeemed at EBC Brakes Direct | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Brake Discs or with our USA partners at Perfect Brakes | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Rotors

Any questions or application issues please let us know.

GOOD LUCK………

You just caused a huge fight in my house.
Our garage contains our '22 Stelvio Veloce, my wife's '12 Fiat 500 Abarth, and my '15 Porsche Cayman.

My wife wants to keep her Abarth because of the noises it makes when you fire it up, plus all the pops, snarls, and farts that the car expresses during every drive.
I want to keep the Cayman because where else are you going to hear a true 2 seat sportscar that screams all the way to 8k rpms?

I think you just divorced us, so that we can both be separate hh's, and that would allow us both to keep our cars.

I'm glad you didn't say anything about motorcycles being included in the ICE roundup.
We have 3 Ducati's in the garage too, and you're going to have to fight us to take those away.

Already plan on keeping my Stelvio, but if I were planning on one ICE car to keep forever - only drive EVs and that one ICE till I die..

It would be something classic, convertible and manual transmissioned. Something that's about the experience of motoring, probably an air cooled 911.

I'm with @Bladecutter. Wife and I would get a divorce of convenience then I'd gift my Stelvio QV to her and I'd buy a new Giulia QV. If this was the motorcycle forum I would say the 1991 Kawasaki ZX7R I had when stationed in Germany. Same bike Scott Russell was using at Team Muzzy when he was destroying everyone on the superbike circuit. What a great bike to own in the land of the autobahns. Cheers

Does lightning strike twice in the same place? I mean I was lucky enough to win the last one, so I feel kind of selfish, but not selfish enough not to weigh in.
my MGB roadster, I already have it, it's just not fully assembled, when I'm not working, I'll work more on it. it has a big valve head, is bored .40 over, and I have a hot cam, and some bigger carbs.
yeah, it won't really idle as low as I want, and the power will be better up high, but that's where the noise will be more entertaining for me, and I'm not sure it will get as good MPG as I'd like. I still have the option of doing coil overs in the front with the toyota vented rotors, so maybe it will brake a little better, since it will be going so much faster than stock, being lightened and all. (a fancy way of saying incomplete interior, and no door glass)

Realistically and If I’m actually still getting to drive it regularly QV for sure. As a post-modern marvel fantasy the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport.

Also probably controversial - but given the choice I have to admit I’d still prefer the Rimac Nevera over the Bugatti. Plus will beat it at that track!

For me, it would be some classic that I could show, and afford to maintain. EV for daily use & travel. Whether the ICE is a muscle car for fun, or an eye-popping beauty, I don't know. My old '57
Golden Hawk could be both.
