Navigation question: For Stelvio models that do not have factory NAV included, but do have AA/ACP, does anyone know if it is possible to have the center screen in the gauge cluster display turn-by-turn directions similar to how the factory NAV is capable of doing?

I know there is a setting that can be turned on/off in the infotainment menu to achieve this result with the factory NAV turn-by-turns, but I'm curious if that setting is even available to Stelvios that do not have factory NAV installed. Probably doubtful. But if not, might there be a setting somewhere in the AA/ACP app that could enable this?

Further yet! If the answer to both questions is no, I wonder.. could one use an ECM module and computer to 'trick' the Stelvio into thinking it has NAV and potentially unlocking this option in the menu? Might not work with Google Maps, I suppose those who have factory NAV & AA/ACP could chime in on that, but still an interesting experiment perhaps. I recently saw a video where a Stelvio owner installed the Sport package shift paddles on his non-Sport Stelvio, which he was able to accomplish using an ECM module/PC to enable the shift paddles functionality via a simple menu displayed on the PC once connected that allowed access to all the car's enabled/disabled features.

Thanks to anyone who can provide some insight!

My AA/ACP equipped 2018 Stelvio would show the navigation arrows when using AA in the info center. I usually use Waze as opposed to Google Maps, but it worked. I don't believe ACP has the same functionality as once I switched over to an iPhone that functionality went away.

I do have built in Nav as well, so I can't answer the question on whether or not this functionality is there if you don't have Nav.

Hope that helps.

interesting. I would love to try an android phone for that feature. CarPlay does have it and requires lots of work for the mfg. I think only bmw has it. Later I will try some other navy apps in acp to recheck

Excuse my ignorance, I'm new to my Stelvio which I picked up on 12/26 and not a real tech guy. But what is AA/ ACP and what is the significance? My 2020 doesnt have factory Nav but I have used google maps with my iPhone and carplay.

On AA it does show the arrows on the dash.
Can you describe the setup on your device and on your vehicle to enable this?

I have an extra Google Pixel (I don’t know which one, I think last years model) and I couldn't get it to show the navigation turn by turn from GMaps or Waze when connected to Android Auto in the speedo gauge cluster on a '22 Quad.

Is there a certain setting to enable this?

In reading the previous entries there are comments from other countries and those members may not have english as their primary language.
I don't believe there is any combo or year (other than unreleased 2024 units) where you will get turn by turn in the display between the tach and speedometer, the references have said things like " in the info center" or " in the dash"

However I would be happy to be proven wrong in my assumption

But at least you get AA in full screen as opposed to us poor 2018 and 2019 owners who only get it at 2/3 screen with a giant android logo on the right, so I’d consider that a win :)
update your phone. AA now has options for full screen or split screen. Default is the split screen. It looks too much like the Apple carplay's google map now.
