My Stelvio has about 13000 miles...I'm now feeling at times, a very noticeable transmission DOWNSHIFT bump at around 5 mph coming to a full stop. It's a real SEVERE BUMP.

Has anybody run into the same thing?

Are you in Dynamic mode? Now that everything is broken in, you will feel a crisper downshift than when new. It may have "learned" you like to gas it firmly so it drops down to 1st ASAP.

I love the way this transmission feels and applaud it for its similarity to a proper dual clutch transmission ie: PDK/DCT

I get it mostly when I come to a rolling stop, not a complete stop....and try to reaccelerate. It can be pretty violent.

I but keep it in dynamic and have a Go pedal.

I get it usually at my first stop in the morning before she is warmed up. What setting with the Go Pedal are you using?

sometimes

Do you feel it manually downshifting?

Give an idea if maybe a software reflash would solve it, or a mechanical issue. Could be the fuzzy logic "learned" something it shouldn't have, which would be a simple fix I'de hope.
Yes, in Dynamic mode. Why would that make a difference?

I do feel is manually downshift though I'm addicted to the paddle shifters and rarely drive the car that way.

If it happens only when the computer is shifting it would show an issue with the the computer..maybe.

If it seems like it is getting worse, head to the dealer sadly...

Could still be the computer overestimating your desire for fast shifts and shifting harder than needed, but might want to go to the dealer and have them reflash the system to be sure.

I don't think so. My Ti Sport is stock, and I occasionally get the hard downshift. Haven't been able to pinpoint a pattern to isolate the issue yet. It happens in D, normal mode. The car has 16.5K miles, and I don't think I noticed the issue until after 10K had passed. It happens so rarely that it doesn't really concern me. If it starts to happen more often, I'll start to worry about it.:big-grin

Same issue here - 2018 model - 15k miles - In N.
Seems like the gearbox wants to shift to 1st when it's not necessary, thus causing the abrupt deceleration.
This is while pottering around in traffic.

I agree I have a 2018 Stelvio and they jery jumpy issue is driving me nuts . It jerks and jumps when pulling out even after I am warming it up . From waht I can tell it is when it goes from second to third and also on the downshift or taking your foot off the gas and downshifting from 4 3 2 . It has been like this since new and the tranmission was replaced that didnt help . Ironically the loaner cars didnt have the issue so it is for sure mine. Very frustrating .

My 2020 Sport with 3200 miles on it has developed the 2-1 downshift bump but it only happens 60-70% percent of the time when bringing the car to a complete stop. It happens in N mode. It seems like a common problem but not sure I want to bring it in to dealer as it doesn't sound like there is a fix other than adjusting your driving style.

Same problem here. Stock 2019 with 24k. My only remedy is to never shift it myself from 2-1 in manual mode and just let the car figure that last shift out on it's own when coming to a stop. For me, it certainly more pronounced and happens more often in D. In N/auto I don't really notice it. I have a feeling it's learning aggressive shift patterns from me when I'm shifting myself, and then trying to repeat them at the wrong time (like when I'm slowly coming to a stop).
