I am trying to hard wire a radar detector to the fuse box. I have a kit and it tells me to splice into a power wire. I need help to identify what wire to use by the front passenger side fuse box??

Please help.

Which model of radar are you trying to use? If we talk about different models - there are a lot of really good manufacturers, so every radar has it's pros and cons, and the best comparison article I've ever found on the web is - https://bestforacar.com/top8-radar-detectors/ It really shows every product from all sides, so a customer can be well-informed about all of them, before making a decision.

If you use the blendmount and the wiretaps from them you dont even need to use any tools if you tap into the mirror. The cover to the mirror easily snaps off and you slide the taps into the back of an existing plug. When I say it's easy... i'm not kidding.

I installed a Passport 9500ix using BlendMount (P/N:BBE-3030) and MTX Series Mirrortap (P/N:MTX-1015), using the DIY Radar Install (from Giulia forum) page linked below. Taking off mirror trim pieces behind the mirror was actually not difficult. Using the Mirrortap wiring is the quickest and easiest way to hard wire radar detector. I highly recommend using the BlendMount and Mirrortap.
