Ok guys, I can't seem to get the hood to open consistently, I noted that the latches did not have any grease on them so put just a dab on each one. I pull the hood release, and typically on a car it pops up about 1" or so. Here I pull the release, nothing happens. Then I go and press down the hood at the latch points, pull release again and then stick my fingers in the crack to lift the hood. FYI this is with engine off.
i had mine stuck too. Pulled the lever, heard the pop, but the hood dint budge.
i lightly depress the hood where the latch is and got someone to pull the lever again and it works. but it seems to be a recurring problem. is there no permanent fix for this?
FYI i got it fixed at the dealership, they said the cable was detached and they managed to secure it back tightly. Works fine for now, maybe test it for a couple more pulls.
