Hood Release

Ok guys, I can't seem to get the hood to open consistently, I noted that the latches did not have any grease on them so put just a dab on each one. I pull the hood release, and typically on a car it pops up about 1" or so. Here I pull the release, nothing happens. Then I go and press down the hood at the latch points, pull release again and then stick my fingers in the crack to lift the hood. FYI this is with engine off.

Is this what everyone else experiences?

Take it to the dealer (a competent one)....there is a Service Bulletin for this....I had mine done yesterday and it's perfect...

i had mine stuck too. Pulled the lever, heard the pop, but the hood dint budge.

i lightly depress the hood where the latch is and got someone to pull the lever again and it works. but it seems to be a recurring problem. is there no permanent fix for this?

You have the little bumpers pressing too hard to hold the hood adjustment up. So check that alignment or the latch needs to be raised 1mm.
