Keep drifting to the right… need some suggestions

So… after owning and driving my Stelvio a couple months I’ve noticed the car has a tendency to drift to the right. And always needed to correct this so steering wheel is hardly never in the neutral position for very long. Brought it in for check up and was told the specs all check out and toe adjusted slightly. But on the drive home the car still behaves the same. Service center lady blamed this on the crown of the road which I had to look up. But the weird thing is, I drove their loaner Giulia and none of this sort of issue happened.
has any one experienced the same? And what to do next?
Having the steering wheel always having to turn slightly to the left also is a bit of an annoyance…

Could be a tire pull, try rotating the front to the rear and vice versa. See what happens.

It is a quadrifoglio, so he can't rotate front to rear.

@MoebiusNu have you tried rotating the tires left to right? OEMs tires are not directional, so that should be safe to do.
Also, have you checked the tire pressures to make sure they're the same when comparing the fronts left and right?

Finally, as a last option, I would take it to an independent mechanic for alignment and have them look at the steering wheel position, they should be able to correct that even if within tolerance...I know it would annoy me too as hell.

Didn't know that QV wheels were staggered. no wonder it sits better when looking at it from the back.
anyhow, I agree with taking it to a shop than the dealer for this.

A slight pull to the right due to the crown of the road is absolutely normal. I’m surprised you wouldn’t be aware of this unless you are a very new driver.

SUV’s with a higher center of gravity will tend to have slightly more of this effect than a car, which is probably why it wouldn’t be as noticeable in a Giulia. Also keep in mind road crown geometry will vary greatly, road to road.

Even my Corvette, with an extremely low center of gravity and very wide tires, will noticeably follow the crown of the road.

Since your alignment checks out and you’ve seen the before and after spec sheet showing camber, caster, and toe are within the normal range, you don’t have an alignment issue. You could cross your tires side to side to eliminate that remote possibility as well, but hold off on that for now.

The other factor that will significantly impact the road crown effect is a cross wind. You do need to know the cross wind direction relative to your driving direction as it will significantly increase or decrease the road crown effect.

What I would suggest,(after verifying your cold PSI is absolutely on spec for all 4 tires) is to go find a low traffic rural 2 lane road and drive on the left side of the road when it is safe to do so.

Assuming you don’t have a cross wind effect, your Stelvio should pull slightly to the left in a similar manner as it pulls to to the right when you’re on the right side of the road.

Let us know what you find out when you try this before chasing your tail with 2nd opinions or crossing tires, etc.

Ah.. yeah.... Things like this are why I hate staggered tires.

If it really didn't happen in the Giulia, I'de put money on it being the tires.
