Nav Issues

Is anyone else having problems with their nav loading routes that take you the long way to the destination? I input address in the nav unit and also pulled up same destination in google maps. The car nav would have taken an extra 30 minutes and 25 miles out of my way. Also does 3D only work in inner citites nav? Other than that and a few minor issues ( will not always connect with phone ) I really enjoy driving my Alfa.

No problems here with the integrated navigation - like you I use Google Maps as a supplement and have a mounting bracket installed to the left front passenger seat bolt that holds my KeyOne phone. The Navi-s in general tend to pull you towards the main routes toll road or other even if it is longer... which is not usually my preference. I use them as a guide only. The thing that's not here is real time traffic, detours, etc.

One thing I do like is being able to set the destination while underway (and delegating this to the passenger). The interface to the audio system and phone is excellent too once you get used to it.

The sum of the parts make the Stelvio a perfect vehicle and I am enjoying every mile! The tight communicative steering is totally excellent - our other vehicle (wife's A4) is totally ignored at this point.
I do enjoy the Stelvio more than I do my MB E320 but the nav is far worse. I was hoping there would be a software update for it. Also no real time traffic. It is nice taking unsuspecting riders around curves at 80-90 with no sway and great steering response.
Also no real time traffic. .
That is my understanding as well, in contrast to my BMWs. However, I have read conflicting information. It would be good to get a definitive answer.

I gave up on my nav and now just use Google maps on my phone. I found the built in nav to be pretty subpar.
There is no Real Time Traffic Information as BMW would refer to it. What you get is Radio based traffic alerts (TP) Having come from a BMW X3 with the Pro Nav unit - I miss the RTTI. In some countries there is an Alfa Connect service but it appears that we do not get it in the UK.

Hello mnalfaowner,

We're sorry to hear you're having a hard time with your navigation. I can get this over to a Uconnect Specialist for further handling if you'd like. Send me a direct message if this is of interest.
