Hi Guys,

What is your regular gas mileage of your Stelvio QV?

Don´t forget to mention if in Liter/Km Miles/gallons (US/UK).

Thanks.

I was referring to the 2 threads below yours where folks have been discussing their mileage etc. I gave a very accurate calculation based on my first 2 long trips.
he asked about QV, which yours is not.

and he won't get anything from the US because we don't have any yet.

thank you lost1750GTV.
:wink

I read the others threads... but no QV input. Thats why I open a new only about QV.
even in three cylinder mode it will be terrible - because of the wide wheels and tires, which are very bad for fuel economy.
the less than smooth hood probably won't help matters much either.

Yeah right... :wink but how much is the real world consumption?
What it's like to drive the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio

Nice review in this week's Autoweek greeted me when I got back from my trip this week.

For you, Lost: You will note in paragraph 8 it refers to 27 mpg highway in careful smooth driving, especially drafting semi's on the road and maintaining 55 mph max speed, hood louvers closed for least wind resistance and driver's arm in the car/windows up.

JUST KIDDING :devil !

that's a nice write up - and the giulia guys who hate suvs will hate it.

the cylinder deactivation has already served it's purpose for me; the wife got an airport ride in a caddy or lincoln with it, so was wondering if this "big engine" car I wanted had that, "yes honey, and soft suspension settings, and blah blah blah"
sometimes it's good to know about things you don't care about

Averaging about 18mpg in normal everyday driving. 3-4 hour freeway drive we are getting 23mpg. 2000miles on the the QV.

haven't even checked.
but I have figured out that it will vary greatly depending on what your "real life driving" means.
shifting manually in Alfa or lambo mode, appropriate use of throttle, hey it's gonna burn some fuel!

leave it in auto shift, it's in a much higher gear, next to no boost until you step on it, and I'm sure it's using not much at all.

in (very) briefly trying auto ferrari and aston mode, I'm sure you can get numbers to brag about - and maybe if we do a long boring interstate cruise we will, but otherwise, why buy this car?

Well, my first tank in the QV ended up at 8.3 MPG US...new toy! My second tank ended up at 15 MPG US, which was an improvement!
I take my daughter to ride horses, which is a 41 highway mile ride each way, I drove the Stelvio QV like an old man, keeping it at 65-67 MPH max and managed a shocking 24.5 MPG US round trip, there was some heavy traffic on our way there. On our way back I managed a 27.2 MPG US which was refreshing to at least know that this car can achieve that...perhaps never again though as it is very hard to drive that way ;)

I picked up a 22 leftover end of February. After 2,200 miles mixed driving, more heavily on the city side, I have average 16.3MPG (I track the mileage on all my cars), this is mostly driving the car like a grandma! Even with a 50-60 mile highway drive my tank average only increases to about 18.5- 19mpg. This is way lower than any car I have owned --- Here are some examples --- 11 Porches (1 being a Macan S, but mostly 911 S cabs and Cayman S'), an M3 that I paid a gas guzzler tax, even heavier MDXs all averaged at least 18-19 or into the low 20s .... I expected it to not be great when I am on it,,, but I have hardly been "on it" and it just isn't efficient.

What do you have a 4cyl or a 6cyl?

I've managed to do this in my 6cyl...that is driving at a painful 60 mph on the highway plus a about 5 or 6 lights for about 5 miles:

I have a Quadrifolio (6 cylindar) -- That is a nice number you achieved!.... I can get 24-25mpg while on the highway between 60-70, but it immediately drops back down into the teens with mixed driving and like I said my 2,200 mile average is 16.3.

WOW, numbers do drop a lot when you start driving in traffic though...also above 60 MPH. At 70 MPH I can get about 25-26 MPG on the highway but I really need to feather the throttle. I achieved 21.4 mpg average on a 4,000 mile trip (~3,300 miles were highway), so I'm happy with that.
Here's a lot more detail I documented on mileage on the first post:
