Safelite and clear factory glass

207 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  GWRmotohead
I have to replace my rear passenger door glass.
Safelite has clear Stelvio glass they can install straight away? I've never seen a non tinted rear Stelvio, has anyone?
the dealers near me, have a price delta of ~60 dollars on the rear glass, and oddly, the more expensive quote wouldn't even tell me if they could get it in a month.
the less expensive dealer said two weeks.

So I either need to get clear glass and a matching tint, to secure the car, or run with plastic for a couple of weeks, and keep it parked next to the prickly bushes
thanks for letting me rant.

I would hold out for the factory tinted glass, not sure it would match otherwise?

safelight can get the factory glass in early June, so I have crammed it in the garage for its two weeks off.
