And a few days ahead of the new years as well! I can see even more members joining the Stelvio forum next year.

I wonder how many of the 200 actually own a Stelvio though :grin

Good point. I know at least a few of us are waiting for CarPlay/AA to be released. If they take too long though...

that's how most car forums start. The 4c forum was tiny when I first got on there (back when I had the 4c), now they have 4k members, I don't that many 4cs have even been sold! :)

forum activity seems to be picking up. Typically I would see around 200 or so "guests" viewing the forum when I first joined in November(?) and now routinely well over 300 guests at any one time. and we're at 248 members so growth is increasing as well. Looking at the Giulia forum they currently at around 1500, I would suspect we'll have similar numbers same time next year.

It's important for the owners and enthusiasts to post up any interesting tidbits, especially tech info, diy, new products. Make this a good source for info on the car.
I have picked up many things on this forum. Many of these items, the dealers did not know. I really like my Stelvio and enjoy driving it. I think one of the worse things a manufacture can do is to not give timely and accurate information to all the dealers and customers. When one dealer from another relays different information, the customer is the one that can get less than they expect. I just wished Alfa Romeo would just relay to their customers what they are doing to better our Stelvios that we have already purchased.

Just my 2 cents

I've noticed that as well. Curious if it's just people seeing one on the road driving interest or if it's from something else. Maybe the word is slowly getting out or the acclaim the Giulia is getting is drawing in interest.

Very true. And why I've told the dealer I'm meeting with Monday that it's not that I don't trust them, I don't trust the information they're getting regarding CarPlay. We'll see how things go. They swear they have acccess to a couple different Stelvio's made middle of December or later that can be upgraded to CarPlay once the software update is available. And I told them I'm more interested in getting a Stelvio with CarPlay than getting a Stelvio NOW :big-grin. They understand, so we'll see. If they can convince me that a Stelvio in the area is upgradeable, and are willing to put teeth in the contract stating such and that if it can't I can return the vehicle under lemon law, then we might have a Stelvio next week lol! Otherwise, if they can show that it's listed as an option on the order form, we can always order one too.

this is the same issue Fiat has here too. The dealer network is very spotty, some really good ones, some really bad ones, and the majority in between. So it means will not have consistent information.

broke 300 members today. I also notice the number of guests is up as well, often in the 400+ range! Word's getting out about the stelvio!
passed 400 member mark!
Wow, that was fast! I feel we are multiplying with crazy speed now. Let’s c if we hit 1k by summer - I bet we will as I see very seductive deals all arround my area;)

I think that is true across the board, regardless of brand. We have two Volvo dealers in town. One is a first class operation and the other one leaves you wanting to take a shower after you've been there. Same thing with the eight Ford dealers in the metro area -- some are better than others, and so on.

The only drawback for Alfa Romeo right now is that many cities only have one dealership, and if it is a bad one, you've got no place to turn to.
Be sure to recommend the good ones and reward their good efforts. Just this week seems to be a lot of activity and I look forward to growing sales numbers- month end is nigh. This forum is an unexpected oasis for me. Great learning from everyone and sharing experiences!

what are the thoughts on putting up a sticky thread where people can post dealers they RECOMMEND. We don't want complaint lists but a list that could be updated might help people find a good dealer.

The focus would be to list the good ones.

I'm one of the new members that bumped the group to 500... is there a prize for this? I spotted a pretty sweet grey Alfa Romeo tshirt on the AF store that I'm itching to have once my Stelvio ownership becomes official over the next week.
