I remember replying to the “1st oil change” thread about the exhaust being too far away from the tips, causing the soot on the tips as seemingly all Stelvios have, but I was mistaken, the exhaust is too CLOSE to the tips, not too far. I was looking into it a bit today cuz it really bugs me, and it appears if you can cut 1.5” or so off the actual exhaust it should cure this issue...now, this won’t be easy and you’ll need a Dremel with a cutoff wheel or another good cutoff tool to accomplish it. But, once the exhaust is back farther it should cure the issue; if you look close at the tip, you’ll see it has a large chrome end but towards the front it opens up, so it should stop the soot from getting on the chrome finished end.
Anyways, I don’t have one and I’m not about to do it to a new car, so this is just an FYI.

This quote is the reason for this thread, I didn’t want to steer anyone in the wrong direction. Also it would be nice to find some tailpipe extensions (even 1-2") to force the exhaust out farther towards the exit of the tube. Tossed and turned an hour or so last night thinking about how to accomplish that...
