Hoping this informative group of forum users may have answers that may benefit prospective buyers:

Yesterday drove to the next county - over an hour because Orange County Fiat / Alfa had the largest selection of Stelvios within driving distance.
Sure enough, they had over 60 Stelvios in stock and had most of the colors and trims but did not get to try a Ti Sport & see the Verde green which was my first color choice. Second color choice is Basalto Brown which looked great. Does any forum member have either of these colors they post here ??
Test drove a loaded Ti w/ optional $2200 white metallic paint which looked like a Lexus (definitely not my color choice).
Stelvio drives very well with a great power band throughout the entire range of speeds. Super torquey and torque vectoring came in very handy going around a power turn!

My top 3 requirements:
  • Steering was top notch - good weight, feel, feedback and drives into corners well.
  • Standard seats were OK but long distance my not be very comfortable due lack of seat angle adjustment - question below.
  • Easy entry / exit: seat pulls back to allow easier step in to avoid bulging side bolsters.
Definitely a driver's car (reminds me of the original Porsches and BMWs) and not a pampering luxury car which is the reason my wife did not like the car.

So our sales advisor (Fiat brand specialist) was not knowledgeable and could not answer questions about: trim differences, Apple Carplay, active suspension, trim differences, and other miscellaneous questions.

So here goes the questions:

1. What is the difference between the base and Ti Stevio ? I could not tell looking at the cars.
2. Option: Ti Performance Package - Sales code: AY7 sales advisor could not tell me about the active suspension feature (adjustable dampers) - what does it actually do with the suspension - is it adjustable for comfort to sport ?
3. Tires were 19" run flats - hated them as they kept bouncing like a spring uncoiling (boing feel over bumps). Can I get it with conventional tires & spare ?
4. Seats - difference between standard and sport seats w/ perforated leather & thigh support could not compare as they did not have any Ti Sport in stock.
5. Apple Carplay - can it be retrofitted to a non equipped 2018 Stelvio ? Sales advisor says no - you can not upgrade by the dealer - it's a factory installed option...
6. 8.8" screen without navigation ? Is that possible in the Ti or Ti Sport ? I'd rather bring my phone's interface instead of using that clunky built in nav.
7. Rear view camera - super tiny, grainy view and used up less than 1/3 the 8.8" screen. Can you order an upgraded version with a better camera / display?
8. DNA drive mode - all I saw were color changes on the screen but could not differentiate what is actually changes - steering, throttle, transmission - anyone have details on what the modes actually do ?
9. Sport version - would getting a non Sport Ti w/ Sport seats possible ?

Thanks in advance!

5) Sales rep was correct. Apple Carplay cannot be retrofitted to non-equipped Stelvio.

a lot of what you ask can be found on AR's website.

there's a chance the dealer didn't reduce to tire pressure from high shipping pressures.
with your seat concern and wife, you might want to locate a ti with the lusso seats and wood, make you both happy.
rear view camera - that's it.

I'll leave it to others with the vehicle to address other stuff, and you might want to search on the giulia forum as well for more opinions on Q4's with performance options etc, as there is more the same than not.

2. Yes, the suspension has 2 modes. Comfort in "A" and "N" modes and switches to Firm in "D" mode but it can be changed back to Comfort if you are on rough roads.
3. That hasn't been my experience I would echo lost1750GTV's concern that air pressure was not adjusted from shipping PSI
4. Sport seats are heavily bolstered, extendable thigh support and have more adjustability. Opinions vary depending on personal preference but I found them superior.
5. SA was correct, if not installed it cannot be retrofitted at this time. The vehicles that have the radio hardware capable of it have it loaded already.
6. I believe large screen option comes with Nav but I'm not 100%. Feature availability link on question #1 should answer this.
7. Nope. Thats the only size
8. You, got it. In Dynamic the steering ratio quickens, throttle response is faster, transmission shift logic downshifts faster, holds gears longer and will not automatically upshift at redline in manual mode.
9. The sport seats are available in the Sport or Ti sport packages

Super helpful answers - thanks so much!

Based on this forum and answers to my questions, I am going to search for a Stelvio with: Ti Performance Package, Lusso seats, and spare tire...

I would highly recommend the Performance Package, the ride quality with the 2 suspension modes is excellent.

3) I'm sure the tires are still on 50+ shipping psi. I experienced this bouncy issue at every dealer I visited when I was in the market for my Stelvio.

Sales advisor showed me yesterday that only the base Stelvios have RFT.
The 19 and 20" tires all have regular conventional tires.

AIR PRESSURE was the reason for bouncy ride!
