Hey everyone, Was wondering if anyone had a transfer case issue or replacement?
I was having a jerky,skipping feeling at low gear 0-20. Dealer said they found metal in oil of the transfer case. I have 49k and that seems odd to me . Any help would be appreciated

I've seen it a few times. Usually from people using really mis-matched tires front to rear, or former rental cars, or just severe beatings.

 

Just had my transfer case replaced due to the same issues you are experiencing. Was experiencing terrible jerking and I hated driving the car. It’s much better with new TC, but stiill jerks a bit. Not nearly as bad as it did prior to the work. Back in love….

if car is not under warranty I'd start with oil change in transfer case - see if it helps. plus you are at that mileage where you should change oil in transfer case.
