I have been to 2 different dealers to figure out a couple problems.
1st dealer
Shaking steeringwheel at highway speed
Told me flat spots on tires so i bought new ones no change then i was told need a road force balance no change

2nd dealer said i needed an alignment that would cure it said tech took it for a ride it was smooth well picked it up took highway home no change still steering wheel shake

They are also saying my front diff is makeing a noise and they ordered a front differential and driveshaft i dont hear anyting all i want is my damn steering wheel not to shake...

All of this was not under warranty i had to pay
And its not fixed

I should have bought a mercedes instead..

Ive only had the car a month and ive only deiven it a week rest of time its been at dealers

And it only has 26000 miles on it i dont think alpha makes a good product from my first impression..

Also Reverse noise like a bang noise when you move in reverse sometimes there aaying thats why tbey ordered the front dirrerential and driveshaft its coming from rear not front..damn

Anyone want to buy a real nice stelvio...lol

Front end shakes can be annoying to track down. These trucks arent known for things like bad control arms so its not uncommon to try and balance, balance again, then balance a third time. Its mire often then not the culprit.

Since it didnt fix it for you theyre likely doing the guessing game.

Dealerships are used to guided fault finding and replacing parts alfa tells them to replace.

You may want to take it to a suspension specialist.

Im sure the dealership would have caught a bad wheel trying to balance them but just in case try moving your front wheels to the rear. Its free to do and will take 20 minutes. At least it rules them out completely.

How does the wheel shaking affect the ride?

You really need to be precise with your language when describing problems.

The steering wheel shaking should not affect the smoothness of the ride. If the shaking does, it isn't in the wheel alone..it's in the body and requires a different inspection.

True the tech should been able to tell, however few Alfa techs makes enough to actually own an Alfa. As such you are expected to know how the car drives and point them in the correct direction.

Assuming you are venting annoyance and the ride isn't worse than a Z06, the dealer is likely on the right track.

Otherwise..... 🤷

I'm not trying to be a jerk, however your comment about the ride and the earlier comments about wheel shaking are confusing.

The steering wheel wobbles at highway speeds and the passenger seat bounces at the same time you feel it in your feet also it feels rough like always driving on rough pavement

If your car is under warranty you take it in, its their job to troubleshoot not yours. They should have mounted 4 new wheels tires from another car and test drive rather than wasting a boat load of money and time for nothing.

Arrigo is decent. Stuart is also.

If you really didn't need new tires most tire manufacturers give 30 days money back trial (michelen, Bridgestone, Continental).

If you needed them anyways youre technically not out that money.

I hear ya. But try to think of it this way. Im guessing tires are around 1200 bucks. You were needing to spend that anyways.

Not sure how long you've had the truck bits its not a terrible idea to have alignment at least checked every couple years in Florida where generally the roads are pretty decent. So maybe another $150 was due anyways.

I definitely feel you it sucks that didn't sove it but if it is the front diff, driveshaft, suspension components, etc this should be covered for you.
