I have been to 2 different dealers to figure out a couple problems.
1st dealer
Shaking steeringwheel at highway speed
Told me flat spots on tires so i bought new ones no change then i was told need a road force balance no change

2nd dealer said i needed an alignment that would cure it said tech took it for a ride it was smooth well picked it up took highway home no change still steering wheel shake

They are also saying my front diff is makeing a noise and they ordered a front differential and driveshaft i dont hear anyting all i want is my damn steering wheel not to shake...

All of this was not under warranty i had to pay
And its not fixed

I should have bought a mercedes instead..

Ive only had the car a month and ive only deiven it a week rest of time its been at dealers

And it only has 26000 miles on it i dont think alpha makes a good product from my first impression..

Also Reverse noise like a bang noise when you move in reverse sometimes there aaying thats why tbey ordered the front dirrerential and driveshaft its coming from rear not front..damn

Anyone want to buy a real nice stelvio...lol

'm really sorry, don't mean to be rude, but maybe you should get a different car afterall, since you cannot even spell ALFA correctly. It is not Alpha. Just saying. best wishes on your next vehicle.
On that note, 'afterall' really should be 'after all' and I don't mean to be rude.....
hell dude, pick on something relevant!

lol I made a typo on that line also!

I'm pretty sure the "alpha" thing is from either voice-transcribing messages on your phone (when you say "Alfa" your phone interprets it as a word from the dictionary, not a proper noun) and/or auto-correct doing the same thing. If you haven't added "Alfa" to your phone's dictionary, then it's going to replace it with a standard word that it knows (like alpha).
I have a video
Not that great trying to drive and video same time lol
It gets worse then that sometimes
Typical first order vibration.

Most of those it's wheel balance. Safe to say that isn't the case here.

Flat spots, again, no. Replacing the tires took that out of the equation.

Warped bent wheel...that should have been caught during the balance so probably not.

Driveshaft? Good chance. It's a list, you go down it. Wish it were different.

I hope you called the dealer that did your tires and notified them about the problem with the lug nut, that is a serious issue not trying to take away from it. That dealer needs to know so they can hopefully correct the tech and be sure it doesn't happen again.
I called dealer today about the clunking in the rear that started after the alignment yesterday maybe they forgot to tighten something . It was a pretty big clunk noise this morning backing out of driveway.i never got a call back i called at 8 am

Arrigo alpha west palm beach.

I will let everyone know the outcome of all this

What is alpha care is that alpha direct maybe i should call them
Maybe try Alfa Care lol.
@AlfaRomeoCares they do watch the forum from time to time

Hmm it seems management has "reactivated" alfacares. Perhaps they have also empowered them (like activity, that has varied over the years), and they will push this to a resolution.
The loose lug nuts ..... maybe the other issue is as simple and nothing has been properly inspected.
I actually think its one of the front axle i have had
An axle go out of balance and it felt the same way
Then the axle broke it was supercharged

There gonna change the differential and drive shaft hopefully they check the axles they have to pull them anyway
Do axle go our of balance? I thought they bend or break... usually break I thought, but it does make sense if the the car is vibrating at all speed, not just high speed. Loose control arms or worn out bushing would explain the noise, especially after the alignment but I still think it's the tire balancing. Any of the other symtoms you guys described would worsen as you drive faster, not lessen after 80..
It did the same with old tires new tires and 3 different balances on new tires including road force balance no change..
An update to steering wheel shake problem
It was bad new tires tire rack sold me new tires that were 2018. I got frustrated and brought it to a small hole in the wall tire shop near me on tuesday. He checked the tires and said they were no good. Some had high spots.Called tire rack they sent me a replacement set that they road forced on there own rims and marked them for the installer.
Brought the car back to him he installed them. 2 of the wheels didnt even take weights.shake is gone.

I find it funny 2 times ballance and 1 road force ballance at dealer and they didnt see that. It would have saved me alot about 600 if they would have seen that first..

Now new problem im noticing a kinda wobble feeling at idle sitting at a light more with ac on.Is that normal for these cars i didnt feel it before ..Also when i fill up the idle stumbles for a few seconds then clears up.

Tires are a big deal. I threw out the oem tires on my RDX the other day. Way better. No more vibration.
In general,

Dealers don't have to work to get a customer base...sales creates one for them.

Independent shops have to earn your business by actually delivering a better service then dealers. Not all of them do, but size is not an indicator of service and an independent shop.

It may not seem like it because of whatever reason...but the reality is 70% of auto repair done in the US is at independent shops.

Why? Better service at a better price. Doesn't surprise me that the dealer did nothing to diagnose the underlaying problem but the independent place did. Dealer techs like to read TSBs and recall notices, maybe a communication from the factory...have the diagnosis handed to them and change parts. The only way they know a tire is bad is if some tells them the tire is bad.

Independent techs don't have that option and have to think for themselves. Find a good one....you'll never want to go anywhere else.

Not 100%, there are great techs everywhere..but in general...the best shops are independent. Hopefully you found a good one...if you did they are worth thier weight in gold.

These cars don't idle smoothly at all; I experience a small intermittent "wobble" at idle as well and it sounds a lot like my prior vehicle a Q5 with the 3.0TDI engine.

MultiAir is a hydraulic valvetrain.

Diesel engines also have hydraulic valve trains........

No it isn't the smoothest engine and there is a fair amount of mechanical noise, like diesel engine.

Thing to know is...Diesel engines have been running direct injection since the early part of the last millennium without carbon build up problems, and with bulletproof reliability for millions of miles. But they don't idle super smooth and sound mechanical.
Thanks, without the ac on i cant realky feel it its pretty smooth its only with ac on i feel a little.Glad to know thats normal.

Last problem is after i fill up the idle stumbles a few times then smooths out and you dont feel it again..
It only happens when i fill up..is that normal also?
Are you waiting till the tank is empty to fill? Like really empty?
