Given all the crises going on right now, I am more concerned than ever about having to rely on sketchy AlfaCares towing service or the glue pot Alfa provides in case I get a blowout or flat with my Stelvio Quadrifoglto. So I've decided to use one of my summer tires as a spare, which any tire store or shop can mount on the wheel. Will the smaller front Stelvio QV front tire fit on the rear wheel temporarily as a spare if it's a rear tire that goes?

Sure ... but you could try to be sure sure.
Front brakes are bigger.
Trying means removing the tire and wheel, taking off the snow tire from the wheel, putting the spare tire on the wheel, taking the spare off the wheel, putting the original tire back on the wheel, and then mounting the wheel and tire back on the car. Maybe I'll wait for another response. But thanks.

OD is the same. Both are 20 in wheels. Can't put a rear on a front, but you can put a front on a rear.....
