The combination of the Stelvio's AWD and the Michelin CrossClimate tires I replaced the worn out OEM Continentals with have made this the best handling vehicle in the rain I have ever driven. As you may have heard, we have had record levels of rain here in California. Whenever there is open road, I have been pushing it in heavy rain (without getting too crazy) and there has been zero slippage whatsoever. No real loss of traction with full throttle at take off either. It's pretty damn amazing.

Sooner or later and above certain speeds, ALL tires will hydroplane...ALL!

So the Michelins CC are better than the OEM contis?
Few weeks ago I managed for 1st time to swing the rear end out launching into a corner from a dead stop at a traffic light in wet road conditions on my 21k miles OEM conti cross contacts.. (not a brake launch). it was fun in a way but also surprising and I got lucky b/ c folks backed off a bit. Stay safe

Yes. They are quite good in light to moderate snow also. Great tires.

Tell us how you like them when they are half worn. I LOVE new Michelins. I HATE the second half of any Michelin I have owned over the past 40 yrs.
