My brother owns an RDX. I own a Stelvio QF.

It comes down to passion over practicality. There’s no way around it- the RDX is more comfortable, has more comfortable seats, has the better sound system, etc. My brother loves it. But what gets me out of bed every morning? The visceral feel of my Stelvio, feeling bumps on the road and the turn in on my freeway on ramps.

Once you figure out what your own priorities are, you’ll figure out which is the right ride for you.

you must have a hotter take on this?! This guy is considering an Acura! You flamed me for suggesting one guy consider an RS-Q8:ROFLMAO:
Exactly. I said the Acura was ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ meaning boring in comparison and built off of FWD architecture which is a deal breaker to an enthusiat. It is one of the better looking Acuras to be honest...bar is set pretty low on their designs over the past decade. 1st gen Legend Coupes were still the best they've done IMHO.

And sorry I hate the Audi look....but I have since that maw came to life in 2006.

Hello everyone, my first post here and just wanted to ask a quick question for anyone who was in a similar buying comparison. I've test drove a Stevio and loved it, even rented one on turo for an extended time to get familiar with the vehicle etc. I'm pretty set on buying a low mileage used stelvio (budget around 30-35k) but am considering a 2019 low milege Acura Rdx at the same price point. Just wondering if anyone considered the rdx vs the stelvio as well? I like the Stevio's driving dynamics and exterior much better than the rdx, but like the Rdx's interior and tech and perceived reliability better, but will probably go with the Stelvio. The problem is there aren't many Misano Blue ones around on the used market, and it's too bad you can't get one with the red leather interior etc. I may just get a used Stelvio ti with the red sport seats and then wrap the Stelvio in a smurf or sanatori blue that you see on the bmw m3's etc, that way I can have a blue exterior and red interior etc...

Anyhow, any comments or opinons would be appreciated thanks! It's a tough choice since I honestly think the interior comfort (drivers seat positioning adjustments and padding) and stereo, and tech (most 2018's don't have android auto compadibility and the tech is minimalistic in the stevio) is miles ahead in the rdx and I drive about 20k miles a year and being in Los Angeles, Ca, with the traffic, it would probably be more comfortable with all the stop and go driving. But the styling of the Stelvio as well as the driving feel is so much more compelling in the Stelvio and can't be replicated on any other suv in this class period, which is probably why most of you bought it as well. The RDX isn't a boring drive at all, it's actually pretty fun even though it does 0-60 a second slower than the stelvio and is front wheel drive (the one I'm considering) but no comparison to the stelvio.
I have driven various Acuras for over 26 years, but drive a Stelvio now. Biggest, but only compromise is side visibility from the Stelvio. Head the blind spot detection.

I could talk about this subject all day, and I went thru this process 3 years ago and am embarking again, as the lease on my 2017 Porsche Macan is up soon. My other car is a 2013 Honda CR-V as point of information. I love Honda's for what they are. You can buy it, beat it into the ground for 150,000 plus miles, and it will never disappoint, It will also never excite. Same vibe with the RDX. You can't go wrong, it does everything well, and the reliability is beyond reproach. YES, it will be more reliable than the Stelvio, or my Macan long term. But for me, there is ZERO fun factor, ZERO wow factor. It really comes down to this: if you want a reliable car from point A to point B, Acura, hands down. If you want to get in the car, and smile, Stelvio. I'm undecided on my next car, but I will tell you the only car that is making me think of not getting another Macan is the Stelvio.

I actually own a 2018 Stelvio Quadrifoglio and a 2019 RDX with the most advanced package. Believe it or not I HATE the RDX infotainment system. Very awkward to use. The Alfa Quad actually gets better highway mileage than the RDX. RDX rides a little better comfort wise on the highway. The Stelvio definitely more fun to drive. Interior appointments a little better on the RDX but not a deal breaker. I like the brakes better on the Quadrifoglio. Like the cooling seats on the RDX.. the RDX doesn’t get the looks like the Alfa.
