Front radar question

Hi.
I suspect that the car I bought from the salvage auction was stolen and crashed.
The wires like a similiar to antenna type ones lwas badly rip off and front radar are gone missing.
At the moment I have no music and maybe problem with SatNav but not sure yet.
I have big hope that I manage to repair the wires somehow but got big doubts about radar.
What the main function of that device? Can I drive the car without? Is the car drop any dashboard messages which may prevent to pass MOT in UK?

Seems to be I will repair the car quicker than find the radar not to buy brand new from dealer.

Sorry if I sound bad, never had Alfa in my life.

Yeah I learn the stuff by reading so much materials online. Radar must be new only coz Alfa lock it to the VIN. New radar in UK cost about £850+200 for calibration. It is not my plan at the moment to spend that amount so I will hide the plug and gona use the car as it is.
