Planning out my audio upgrade (factory sub replacement + amp).
One of my concerns is the speaker warning light that will come on by disconnecting the factory sub. I understand this should be remedied by adding a 5w 47 ohm resister, but I've also been told by other members that this isn't a 100% solution if your LOC/amp turns on by sensing speaker signal (because the car boots up before your aftermarket gear does). So I tested the recommended 12v socket located by the factory sub, as recommended by other members, but found that it only turns on with ignition. This means that if I'm chilling in my car and want to listen to music, my sub won't turn on. Sooooo...
I want to know if the factory Harmon amp, with all of it's connection, might be receiving a 12v turn on signal. I've searched for the past day and the closest thing I've found was a wire diagram posted by another member (which I'll post here in case it helps others). But it only shows connector A. I'm curious if I can find a 12v turn on signal that goes on with JUST THE RADIO being on (and not relying on ignition), off the other 2 connectors.
