Hi all,

So I run full winters on my stock QV wheels. Pirelli Scopions as most of you do as well.

Well summer driving is around the corner, and I am in the market for a nice set of aftermarket wheels and tires.

I am going to increase wheel size by 1" to 21" - and keep the same widths as the OEM.

Anyone tried this before ?

Any reason NOT to do this ?

Cheers everyone
So what's the verdict?

Wow - I've been so busy with other things I totally forgot I asked this question here on the forum ! My apologies everyone.

I also can not believe the uproar this topic generated. Its awesome. No matter your view point.. everyone has their own opinion. Its all good.

So the update you all want - the 21" wheels have been ordered. FINALLY ! I'm very picky, and wanted to keep the overall design of the stock wheel somewhat in tact. Weight has been LOWERED vs the original, and overall tire/wheel diameters have as close to the stock set up as humanly possible. were talking an 1/8 of an inch difference on the rears, while the fronts remain stock diameter.

I will post pics when I get them installed. about a month out from delivery.

Stay tuned everyone...

I received a message from Madness Autoworks last year when I was thinking about going big on tire wheel and sizes. (I never got around to it.)

But this is what they said regarding their Stelvio: We put 22x9 on our Stelvio and it hasn't been an issue. We also drive that vehicle hard, really hard."

Yeah no ****! I was even called an arrogant Greek millennial and shed a tear or two lol I guess a hit a nerve or two of some online losers. Can't wait to see the pics man!

Sorry, but doesn't this sort of defeat the whole SUV concept? I like my 20 inch rim fender clearance and 8.1" of GC.

Just sayin'
Clearance remains the same unless they don't follow any guidance which then means they need to reprogram their speedo to account for the MPH/kmh offset. What does change is the halo effect of having an SUV (driving over curbs, objects, etc.) because their new setup will be less forgiving from structural integrity. Regardless, they're going for a specific look vs. tracking or offroading. Not all folks get an SUV for the same or intended purpose.

Personally I am loving the creative passion + enjoy all the posts. My pleasure is preserving stock condition but sure would enjoy a simple way to kick up the exhaust note a notch!

FINALLY - 21's and lots a carbon on my QV

Was it worth the wait ? lol

Ordering Custom 21's for My QV was not easy.

First, not many rim manufactures had any info and specs on the SUV to begin with..... Then I needed to find a wheel that looked similar to the original QV wheels, b/c I loved them..... I now have the coolest winter rims in town as well !

Anyway, let me know your thoughts guys..... Big thanx to the Koshi Group for all my carbon, and to Pirelli and Bforged for the new shoes....
