I was discussing this with my daughter (age 19)...trying to impress upon her the desire, no, the REQUIREMENT that anything with beauty, grace, or speed (or all 3) deserves a feminine name.
She came up with "gelato" and it stuck.

Your daughter mighy have put one over on ya..cause generally in Italian, "O" is the masculine. Gelata would be the feminine.
Might be different for food or a specific exception for that word though....not like I speak Italian.

In that case, I guess my "Stella" is gender-fluid (or is it ambiguous, or....wait, I just need to ask my kids for the correct word here).
