As you can see from these pics the lower front lip makes scraping an issue for me so basically there's no way I can lower even an inch so there's always going to be the wheel gap but since I have time to decide on tires before my 22's arrive soon I'm going to get larger tires as any increase no matter how miniscule for ground clearance is going to be beneficial for me! I wonder if they make 255/50/22 s? I'll just go with the 255/45/22 all around probably. Thanks again for the responses. Also, does anyone happen to know what the max wheel spacer amount is? It seems to be 20mm. No idea what mine are as this wide body kit came with wheel spacers but it's not quite flush so just wondering if anyone had any info on this. Thanks!

There is a steering knuckle over the inside of the front tire. I think a 30" tire would fit, but don't know anyone running 30" tires, so that's an unstandardized guess based on the size of my knuckle, you'd have to check with your tire guy. if you went with that size, it would give you 1/2 inch more ground clearance.

Sorry, not quite understanding, could you explain further? So 255-30-22? Wouldn't that decrease ride height as I assumed 255-45-22 would be taller tires (45 instead of 35, or 30). A 30 tire on 22's would look like almost all rim lol.

not a 30% profile, a tire that's 30 inches tall, the size you mention (255/45/22), is a 31" tire when you calculate the height, sorry for switching it up on you, too much Jeep past life, and less typing of numbers.

stock size 255/45/20 = 29" tire
255/35/22 = stock size 29" should fit no problem's
255/40/22 = 30" (could fit, maybe not) (.5 new ground clearance)
255/45/22 = 31" (super close to not fitting) (1 new inch of ground clearance)
the above estimates are with stock offset of 31

you bring up spacers, but haven't mentioned the offset of the 22s you're getting.
go to this site and play around with the numbers

you can even add a spacer there

Have fun

I have 265/45/20s which = 29.4 diameter and they fit like a glove. 275/45/20s = 29.7 diameter and an old post confirmed they rubbed and did not fit. I have commented on this many times. You could possibly fit 275/35/22s which = 29.6 diameter bit that's really pushing it.

where does it rub? I'm looking at the steering knuckle above the tire and that looks like it has room for a bigger tire... but I'm guessing it rubs somewhere else on full lock?

Post 35 in this link below discusses where it rubs. But again, the 265/45/20s I have do not rub at all.

thank you... in reading that post it seems like the issue is due to increase in width. I'm only interested in increasing diameter (255/40/22 or 255/45/21). There's about .75" of clearance to the top of the knuckle (sitting on top of the tire) so I'm thinking the extra .5" in sizing up will be fine. But I'm not sure if I'll have rubbing issues when I turn full-lock somewhere.

Assuming you’re replying to me, I do plan to run staggered. 9 front and 10” rear

but I do want to size up just to decrease the wheel gap a little, and I think the front is where I have to worry about it.

Just wondering for any non quad stelvio owners who have gotten 22inch rims, in terms of how it altered the ride and any other observations? I have 20's but got a wide body kit so my ground clearance is not great since I have a front lower lip that almost scrapes against front curb bumpers. However there's an obvious wheel gap which would be helped by 22's but not sure if that would also increase my clearance or not?
I have 22 inch lexani wraith on mine and 40 series tires... even though in rubs a little when I turn, the ride is better and the car is raised higher
