What to expect after transmission adaptation reset

I want to pick some brains about things I’ve noticed since I reset my transmission adaptations via Multiecuscan. One thing I notice is the firm shift after initial startup from 1-2. It seems to be more firm when it does it now. Also the gear changes from 2-3,3-4,4-5 are also more firm until the transmission is up to temp. I imagine after a few days it will settle down. But has anyone else done this reset and experienced similar results? I haven’t changed fluid or filter yet as my car only has 48k miles

I was playing with MES the other night and I reset my transmission, too. It's amazing how over 4 years of driving the car makes you drive differently from your first few months. I'm trying to be more relaxed so the trans will be nice and smooth, more adapted to way I drive the car now. Hope I don't run into these red emblem Hondas ....

"Through artificial intelligence and machine learning, transmissions can learn and make adjustments to stored values without those values being explicitly programmed into the transmission's computer." For recent vehicles this has been in place to adapt to your driving style with the TCU/ECU. I thought it was 'bull' but just reset it and feel the difference. it does pop once in a while but it smooths itself out eventually. I believe this is more adaptive to the area you are driving than the driver's habit, like downhills, uphills when to downshift when climbing etc.
The car should be more fuel efficient if you 'train' the trans properly too. For example, I intentionally cruz around 1.5 rpm and when I push, I don't push more that 3 or 4k. for now

That's where the witch doctor installs the magic that actually controls automatic transmissions. Or Gypsy, maybe Sorcerer.... different companies use different types of magic. The name is for muggles to understand.

But really they are right, highly computerized with lots of adaption, along with the pre-programmed drive modes. Those adaptions though are why you want to use all your drive modes every so often and especially after a rest. The pre-programmed parts can get written over by adaptions if never used, if not used after a full reset they get written over faster.

... Also.... By this reasoning if you just put it in D and never take it out..... It'll make A and N "better"..... Won't ever be D because it more then just shift strategies, but... Better...

I just got a new to me, used 2019 stelvio quad. When driving it in automatic it feels like it is in too high a gear often - like it’s lugging. This happens in N and D mode. I have been using manual mode to drive it better.

do I need to reset the TCU?

did the previous owner drive in too high a gear?

will driving the car in manual retrain the automatic mode?

thank you.
